2014 Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade Delayed

Tuesday, May 14th 2013. | News, Review, Suburban

This is concerning the 2014 Chevrolet Suburban and Tahoe, the 2014 Cadillac Escalade and the 2014 GMC Yukon. It is not a bad delay, but worth reporting none-the-less. They will be released in the 1st quarter of 2014 rather than the 4th quarter of 2013. This was done so GM could focus its efforts fully on the 2014 Silverado and Sierra. Gm stresses that it is not a supplier issue. Although rumors have been going around that they are still working on reaching aerodynamic targets.

As far as what to expect it to look like, we aren’t sure yet. Perhaps the Chevy and GMC examples will be going along with the design philosophy of the new trucks? What we do know is that they’ll be available with the trio of new EcoTec3 engines (a 4.3L V6 and 5.3 and 6.2L V8’s) and 6 speed transmission, with an 8 speed transmission to follow later on. This along with updated aerodynamics should produce some impressive MPG numbers for GM’s new full-size SUV’s.
