Chevy Aid and Development Program

Thursday, November 22nd 2012. | Review, Trailblazer

Hello Chevy Silverado Blog readers, happy thanksgiving! In the spirit of this holiday we have an article for you to read about what GM is doing that people might be thankful for.

GM has taken a step to help the global community by creating a new discount program for NGOs working for the betterment of humanity in poverty stricken countries around the world. The Aid and Development Program will provide customized GM vehicles, namely Chevrolet’s Colorado pickup truck and the Trailblazer SUV. The Colorado is soon to be sold in the US while the latter will not be made available in the US.

The vehicles will be made available through the International Fleet Sales department and will have heavy-duty cooling, towing and hauling packages installed in them. The main aim of providing the pickup trucks and the SUVs is to help NGOs pull and carry heavy loads and drive on rough roads that are common in the kind of countries these NGOs are operating in. The global sale of both of these vehicles along with their tough body-on-frame setup were two major reasons why the Colorado and the Trailblazer were chosen in particular.
